Scholar Institute has started supporting selected MSMEs, youths and women from Sittwe, Ponnagyun and Mrauk U townships in Rakhine State to provide on job trainings under the Skills for Reconstruction of Rakhine State (S4RR) project. The trainings involve dress making training, hair and facial treatment training, hand-loom weaving training, bakery and snack making training.
These trainings will help youths and women from the targeted townships to acquire new competencies and skills needed for a job in a real, or close to real, working environment. Trainees that undergo on-the-job training get a firsthand look at all the work procedures they can expect to encounter. They will have opportunity to learn workplace expectations, equipment operation, and any other skill they need to complete their job successfully.
